Armies cannot contain more than 11 figures from the same army card. Heat of Battle. Winner of a pre-game dice-off chooses to place first or get +8 to their first initiative roll. Matches will be 45 minutes.

Please read the army building instructions carefully. For this event, each player will bring one 480 point army, containing no more than 18 figures. Each army must contain at least 110 points each from 3 different Valkyrie Generals. You may have more than 3 generals in your army if you meet the other requirements. NOTE: This event will likely include a $5 or $10 entry fee per player. This will cover the cost of a door prize promo figure for each okayer, and the remainder will go to the priE pool. Your army may not contain more than 300 points of figures with the same species/race. For example, example, 3xRoman Legionnaires + Marcus Decimus Gallus is 295 points of human figures and is fine--but that army may not contain any other figures with the Human species. Each game will end after 4 rounds. Whoever has the most points at that time wins the game. Points are scored at the end of every round. Each player receives a variable number of points for every Objective Zone your army controls: - In the first round, Objective Zones are worth 1 point each. - In the second round, they are worth 2 points each. - In the third and subsequent rounds, they are worth 3 points each. Each map will have at least one "Key Point." The Key Point and all hexes within 2 hexes of that Key Point are called an Objective Zone. These Objective Zones will be used for scoring (see below). For your army to control an Objective Zone, you must have more army cards of figures in the Objective Zone (on or within two spaces of the Key Point) than your opponent does. This event is an 8-player invitational for players who took 1st place in a Colorado event between January and September. After those players have accepted or declined their invitation, the remaining spots are offered to players based on overall wins in 2024 Colorado events. Drafting: First, the players should roll for which side of the map they want. Once the draft begins, the players may no longer roll for side. Dice off. High roll may choose to either draft first or defer. Draft in a 1-2-2-2-2 pattern (first player drafts 1 army card, second player drafts 2 army cards, first player drafts 2 army cards, etc.). Each copy of a common card is a separate pick. Armies are not placed until all units have been drafted. Once you are out of points, you may not draft any more cards (but you may continue to draft up to the point limit even if the extra card(s) would put you over the figure limit). If a mistake is made during the draft (IE someone drafts over the limit or declares being done while under the limit), call the judge immediately. The judge will rectify the situation (walking back the draft to the point where the error occurred). To help avoid mistakes during the draft, pen and paper will be provided. Both players are responsible for keeping track of both players’ points and picks during the draft (in order). However, no outside draft notes are allowed. We will be using the Draft Pools from ScapeCon IV for this event, which can be found here: https://www.heroscapers.com/threads/scapecon-iv-draft-pools.63999/ We will be using Percolator instead of Flaxen Shard for the Soulborg Pool.
