Pooled Draft with Strikes
- For this event, each player will bring a pool of figures capped at 40 figures, between 550 and 650 points, using VC Delta points. You may include no more than 4 copies of any common squad, and no more than 6 copies of any common hero.
- Each game, you and your opponent will combine your draft pools into a single draft pool that the armies will be drafted out of. Second copies of unique cards are removed from the draft pool.
- At the beginning of the game, there will be a dice-off. The winner of the dice-off will decide whether to be player A or player B in the draft.
- The draft procedure is as follows:
- Player B may choose to strike EITHER up to two single cards in the draft pool OR any number of copies of one common or uncommon card in the draft pool. Figures that are struck are removed from the draft pool and cannot be drafted that game.
- Player A then makes the first pick and players will alternate picks.
- For a player's pick, they may choose to pick any number of copies of a single card. However, for each copy you pick after the first, you skip that many turns after that pick.
Example: For the first pick, player A picks 3 squads of stingers. Player A will skip their second and third picks as a result. Player A can resume picking when their fourth turn to pick comes up. - Players may continue drafting until they pass or they can no longer make any picks within the 470 point figure limit (VC Delta points). Once a player passes they cannot resume drafting.
- After the draft, the player who lost the dice-off decides who places first. Players may place their drafted figures, up to a maximum of 17 figures.
No Startzone Camping
- 2 spaces on each map will be designated as control points.
- At any point in the game after round 2, if there are four consecutive numbered Order Marker reveals with no attacks or attacking powers used, then the control points begin to be counted starting at the end of that round.
- At the end of a round after the control points rule has triggered, after resolving all other end of round procedures like lava and Wannok, if you have more army cards within two spaces of a control point than your opponent, then you score 1 victory point. Repeat this process for the other control point.
Example: At the end of a round after the control points rule has triggered, Player A has 5 Knights of Weston, Arkmer, and 3 Goblin Cutters within 2 spaces of a control point. Player B has Moltenclaw, Mimring, and Otonashi within 2 spaces of that same control point. Player A has 4 army cards within range (2 cards of Knights, Arkmer, and 1 card of Goblin Cutters), whereas Player B has 3 army cards within range (Moltenclaw, Mimring, and Otonashi). Player A would score 1 Victory Point for that control point. Repeat this process for the other control point.
- The first player to have 5 VPs (and more VPs than their opponent) wins. If the game goes to time, each VP is worth 25 points during partial card scoring.
