NorCal: Bay Area Brawl 2023 Builder

This will be our second NorCal tournament this time hosted in the bay. Details below! Where: Oakland Public Library (Golden Gate Branch) Meeting Room, 5606 San Pablo Avenue, Oakland, CA Date: Saturday, Dec.9th, 2023 Time: 10:45am to 4:30pm. (opens at 10 - set-up and prep before we start) TDs: thoppner18 (Troy), Trust Keeper (Logan), cmgames (Ziggy) Format: Osterizer (Mix-It-Up) Swiss-style Tournament - 4 or 5 bouts - 50 mins each Higher partial points remaining as winner-determinant on unfinished bouts. Classic HS, C3V, and SoV allowed. No Marvel or C3G. Each player should bring their own combat dice, order markers, & wound markers. Each player brings two different* 520-point-max, 24-hex-max armies. All armies go into a common pool. All players roll d20. High roll goes first (roll off ties) to choose one army from the pool. After armies are chosen, bouts are determined. Play bout 1 with your chosen army. After bout 1 & bout 2, players swap armies. Byes keep their army. Play bout 2 and bout 3 with the swapped armies. For bout 4, players choose one of their own armies (before bouts are assigned). After bout 4, if we go to a fifth bout, players swap armies again. Byes keep their army. * The two armies cannot contain any of the same units. No Raelin in both armies, for instance. Note: Some of us have lots of extra units and figures. If anybody needs units for their armies, feel free to post on hereoscapers or reach out to Troy (916-896-7325) and we will see if we can accommodate. Also, make sure to mark your figures somehow (label on underside of base, for instance) to ensure you get your own figures back again at the end.
