Each Player builds a 550pt CORE Army for the event. They also build a 200pt RESERVES army. At the beginning of each game, before placing armies...each player secretly decides whether or not they want to switch out any of their core army with their Reserves units. The CORE army must still be within the point and figure requirements after any potential switches. The Reserves army does NOT after any potential switches. Players may switch out as many points/figures as they'd like from the core army and replace it with the Reserve army units. Once decided, players reveal their decision and then dice off as normal for placement. Squads can only be switched for their full cost (not per figure cost), but you will be allowed to sit figures if switching the squad causes you to go over the figure limit in your CORE army.
SWISS BRACKET:
Players will play all 4 rounds of the event, BUT 1st round pairings will follow the Seeded Bracket matchups based on the Ranking of Season 1 finishers and auto-bids. Each round Winners will be pairing following the brackets schedule while losers will be randomly paired with someone else with the same record. Losers are not required to play in future rounds.
MAPS:
6 in the Pool, all previously used in prior Qualifiers during Season 2.
There will be a MAP BAN allowed for the Semis and the Finals. This will occur LIVE between the Tournament Director and the players prior to publishing the round pairings. Higher Seed bans 1 map, lower seed bans 2, higher seed bans 1. Tournament Director will roll D20 to determine which of the final 2 maps are played on.
