Before starting to play both players roll D20. High roll can choose to pick 1st or defer. 1st pick selects 1 army, then the other player selects 2 armies, and the final army will go to whoever picked 1st.
If both your selected armies have a figure of the same name, you may only choose 1 of them to play with. The other will be excluded from your army for that game.
