You and your teammate each bring an army. At the start of each tournament round you and your teammate secretly pick one of your opponents' armies to take control of and play for this tournament round. Your opponents pick one of your armies. Simultaneously, you reveal the picks, and those two selected players swap their armies with their opponent. EX: player A1 and player A2 Vs player B1 and player B2 Team A select army B2 Team B select army A1. Players B2 and A1 then swap armies. In effect, each team will be playing one of your own armies and one of your opponents' armies. We have some promos! We have a few Dragoons left and a lot of Deckers. Promos are $10 a piece and completely optional for purchase.

Heroes of Valhalla Format Announcement The next Heroes of Valhalla event will be held at Blakfyre Games on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at 12:00 PM. Registration All players must be signed up by Wednesday, September 10th. If you sign up after that date, you will be responsible for bringing a map if the number of sign-ups is even. Entry & Raffle There is an optional $10 entry fee that goes toward the prize raffle. We’ll be using our standard raffle system: • 1 raffle ticket for entry • 2 bonus tickets to the tournament winner • 1 bonus ticket to the runner-up • All entries carry over to future events until you win a prize • Tickets are entered into the prize pool, and drawings will be held at the end of the event • Everyone who enters has a chance at prizes, with top finishers earning a little extra Format Rules Bring 2 armies. One army must be composed of Classic figures only and the other must be composed of Contemporary figures only. Armies are designated as Army 1 and Army 2 for the entire event. You may not use the same species in more than one army. Marvel figures are not allowed. Army Restrictions • Delta points: 245 per army • Maximum of 8 figures per army Round Procedure At the beginning of each round, both players roll a d20. The winner of the roll chooses whether Classic or Contemporary armies are played first. Both players must then field their designated Army 1 of that type. Play continues normally until one player’s Army 1 is eliminated, or until one player (before revealing an Order Marker) resigns their Army 1. When this happens, the round immediately ends, and any figures in the defeated Army 1, whether on the battlefield or not, are destroyed and removed from play. Both players then place their Army 2 in their start zones as normal, with the surviving player leaving their Army 1 figures in place. Instead of rolling for initiative to begin the next round, the player whose Army 1 was eliminated first automatically wins initiative. Play continues normally until one player is entirely eliminated.

This month we’re doing a slight spin on a classic format. Reverse the Whip is all about creating an army you can win with, while being able to defeat it with whatever army you’re handed. The format will run as follows: Round 1: You will play your army Round 2: You and your opponent will switch armies and play each others Round 3: You will play your army Round 4: You will switch armies again with your opponent Army restrictions: - Contemporary figures *only* - 515 points - 18 figure limit - Rule of 12 (you may not have more than 12 of the same common figure in your army) This goes without saying, but since you will be using other people’s figures you *must* be respectful and careful with them. We are returning the Utah December tradition. The Jingle Bell Bash is defined by low point armies, and fast games. Bring 2 fun armies to choose between through the event. We'll be aiming for 6 rounds. We will be STARTING games no later than 12:15. If you are late, you will have to wait for the next round. Format: Delta Rule of 12 Bring 2. Prepare 2 separate armies, following delta pricing. Armies cannot share the same figures. Both players will decide which of their own armies they want to play, and then reveal their choice at the same time. You cannot change your choice afterwards. We are following the rule of 12, meaning that you cannot have more than 12 of any common figure.
