Ringing in the new year with a BANG! A little bit of new mixed with a little bit of old... we are doing our first ever Heroes of Valhalla TEAMS event! Format: Classic/Contemporary Teams Fixed team format 340 points in each army Delta Points Teammate A army must include only Classic figures Teammate B army must include only Contemporary figures Each TEAM will have a SHARED figure limit of 15 figures. (I.e. A can have 9 figures. B can have 6; A can have 2 figures. B can have 13) As ever, our raffle will be a $10 entry for a single ticket. BOTH winners will get an extra 2 entries. BOTH runner ups get an extra entry. BONUS RAFFLE: If you bring a teammate who has never been to an HoV event, YOU will receive an additional raffle (must purchase 1 entry to qualify for the bonus)

We're gonna shake it up even more with some fun MULTIPLAYER MADNESS! This will be a 3-player format. The rules are simple... Kill the player on your left OR right. Let me explain. Each round, you and your opponents roll for placement. Then the TO will roll to determine your target for the round. On a roll of 1-10, everyone will target the player on their right. On a roll of 11-20, everyone will target the player on their left. You spend the game chasing and defeating the targeted player all while being harried by the other player chasing you. The game ends when a single player's army is destroyed. The player who killed their target receive 2 points. The player who survived but didn't kill their target receive 1 point. The player who died receives 0 points. Points: 350 DELTA (No VC; No Marvel) Figures: 11 figures

This event is gonna be so NUTS! You know how there are figures you DESPERATELY want to play... but they just aren't that good. IF ONLY there was a way we could tweak an ability or two to make them super fun, thematic, and viable... WELL NOW THERE IS! Introducing Heroscape Army Draft: Spicy Brews: We've cooked up a number of pre-constructed armies. Each of these armies have a bit of a twist. EX: Haluchott can bond with beasts of any size (Krug?! Mimring?!?!) Common Vorid Glide Strikers that bond with Vorid Champions?!?! So. Much. More. Each tournament round, the players will draft a new pre-constructed army. (I will post all of the armies in a separate post) Drafting priority goes in order of last place to first place. Any ties are settled by a dice roll off. Get ready for a fun time!

Bring 1 255 points 8 figures each map will have 3 specific pods. Players will roll off. Winner will opt to pick the first pod or ban one of the pods. The second player will then pick a pod. Effectively, your goal is to bring a good base to compliment the pods for each map. See discord for the pods.

I’m hosting a Heroes of Valhalla GenCon prep night with pizza at my house on June 16th! We’ll be playing: 460 points 17 figure limit Contemporary only Bring 2 armies July releases are playable Each player will bring 2 different armies to test. Before each round, you and your opponent will secretly and simultaneously choose which of your own armies you want to play for that game. Or, if both players agree, you can openly pick your armies to create a specific matchup you both want to test. The goal is to get meaningful GenCon prep games in and see how these armies actually perform into the expected meta. I’m expecting Cobra Troopers to be one of the strongest builds going into GenCon, so this will be a great chance to practice against them and see what can survive the Trooper Gauntlet. If you don’t have the figures you want to run, don’t stress. I probably have them, and we can proxy what we need to. Max player limit is 12. I’ll also be posting a list of armies we think could be some of the top GenCon-winning builds for people to pick from, but you are absolutely welcome to come up with your own too. Hot Potato is a unique twist on the traditional "Cheese" format. Bring the strongest army you can build because you'll start the day playing it. After each round, you'll trade armies with that opponent then use that army in the next round. By the end of the tournament, you'll have commanded several different armies while watching your own make its way around the room. Adaptability is just as important as army building!
