Format is Landing Party: At the beginning of placement players diceoff to decide forward placement first (Player A) or second (Player B). Player B then chooses which start zone they prefer. During forward placement, players take turns placing one hero or unique squad they control on the board. Squad figures must be placed within three clear sight spaces of all other squad figures placed that turn. You must place at least one figure this way. Figures placed during this phase cannot be placed within 4 spaces of your either start zone. You may not place figures on glyphs or adjacent to enemy figures. Players may continue taking turns placing figures this way as long as the total figures placed this way does not exceed 4 figures or 145 points (partial card scoring). Players may also pass to decline placement, but may not choose to resume forward placement after that. You may forward place some of the figures from a card and reserve the rest for placement in the regular start zone placement phase, but if you do so you must pass on subsequent forward placement turns. After both players are done placing figures this way, the players place their remaining figures in their start zones, starting with player A. If an army has more than 16 figures, decisions on which figures to sit are made at this time. At the beginning of the game, the player who placed second during the forward placement phase gets a +6 bonus to their opening initiative. Please bring $10 to pay for prizing.

Bring 3 pods that fit 295 points, 9 figures. Pods cannot share figures. If your pod is above the figure limit, choose which figures are dropped before the event begins. There will be a "Top Cut" for this event that will play after dinner to decide the champion. Before each game, roll the 20 sided die. The player with the higher roll decides whether to be "Player A" or "Player B" in the draft. The progression of the draft is as follows: 1) Player B has the option of striking one of the six pods (a pod that is struck cannot be chosen by either player). 2) Player A chooses one of the remaining (5 or 6) pods to play. 3) Player B chooses one of the remaining (4 or 5) pods to play. 4) Player A has the option of striking one of the remaining pods. 5) Player B chooses one of the remaining pods to play. 6) Player A chooses one of the remaining pods to play.

Before the start of each round (before placing order markers or resolving any start of round effects), roll the 20-sided die. Consult the chart below for the weather condition. This condition is in effect for the duration of the round. The same weather condition cannot repeat in consecutive rounds (re-roll as needed). (1-4) Heavy Rain: When attacking a non-adjacent figure with a normal attack, roll 1 less attack die. (5-8) Heavy Fog: Figures may not determine Line of Sight or Clear sight to any other figure. (9-12) Blazing Heat: Roll 1 unblockable attack die against any figure that uses its full movement value in a turn. (13-16) Freezing Cold: After your opponent completes their player turn, you may select one figure in their army that did not move normally that player turn and inflict one wound on that figure. (17-20) Storm of Confusion: If a figure ends its move adjacent to any figures (friendly and / or enemy), then it must attack each adjacent figure with a normal attack. Figures with Special Attacks may not use their Special Attack if they end adjacent to any figures.
