Every attendee will be receiving the Taelord Promo Figure! $10 buy in, whatever doesn't cover the promo will be distributed to 1st and 2nd place winners (2nd place will be the loser of the two 3-0 players). Time to get together and battle it out again in Atlanta! This time we're doing a pooled draft: everyone will bring their pool of 10 cards (each common counts as 1), and before each match you will combine it with your opponent's pool, removing any duplicate uniques, and then draft from the remaining pool. Each player will draft up to 490 Points, 16 Figures. If you end up with too many figures after the draft, you can choose which to sit before the match to get to the 16 figure limit. Raelin (1.0), Major Q9, and Marro Warriors are all banned from this event. All squads are limited to Rule of 9, meaning only 9 total squad figures will be allowed in the pool (i.e. Stingers x3 is good, Deathreavers x3 will result in x2 full squads and x1 squad only having one Deathreaver). The draft format is as follows. Players roll the D20; high roll may choose to pick first or defer. Draft in a 1-2-2-etc pattern (P1 drafts 1 army card, P2 drafts 2 army cards, P1 drafts 2 army cards, etc.). Each copy of a common card is a separate pick. We will go over all this before the event starts, but it is on each player to ensure that they and their opponent are legal on the army they are running. For any confusion, call over a judge to get clarification. We will have a 15 minute period at the start of each round for the draft: 5 minutes for the two players to look over the combined pool and make sure there are no duplicate uniques, and then 5 minutes per player to draft. At the end of those 15 minutes, we will start a 50 minute timer for the competitive round game. If you get done before this starts you are allowed to start your game, but you cannot go past these 15 minutes. At the end of the timer, you MUST have your draft completed or immediately wrap it up, and then start the match.
