Control Points (Map Control Points)
Alternate victory condition:
Be the first player to reach 10 Victory Points. If both players end a round with 10 or more VPs AND tied, then play another round (and continue until the tie is broken).
Each map will have two control points (towards the center of the map). At the end of the round (after end of round effects like Lava damage and Wannok have been resolved), if you have more army cards within two spaces of a control point than your opponent, then you score Victory Points equal to the round number. Repeat this process for the other control point.

Play your opponent’s army.
Heat of Battle:
Normal SZs do not apply. Instead, before the game, each player will dice off. The winner of the dice off begins the first round initiative advantage bidding process. Begin the bidding process with a bid of +20 or less. Each subsequent bid must be smaller than the previous one. The player who accepts the bid will place first and the player who bid will add that bid to their first round initiative roll.
Alternate placing one card of your units anywhere on the board. Squad figures must be placed within three clear sight spaces of all other squad figures placed that turn. You may not place figures on glyphs or adjacent to enemy figures.
