(SAScon 2026) Carolina Season 2 | THREEmat Rule of 12 (Classic Points)

Rule of 12: You may not field more than 12 of any given figure. Bring one army. Each round of the tournament will be a different one of the following formats: Heat of Battle, Fog of War, and Chaos of Battle. Heat of Battle: Before the game, both players roll the D20; high roll may choose to place first or defer (meaning they place second). Players alternate placing one card of their units on the board (a map's "start zones" are irrelevant for Heat of Battle). Squad figures must be placed next to other squad figures you placed that turn. You may not place figures on glyphs or adjacent to enemy figures. The player who places second automatically wins initiative Round 1. Fog of War: Ranged attacks, auras, and abilities that require line of sight or clear sight spaces are reduced to 3. Chaos of Battle: Before the game, both players roll the D20; high roll may choose to place first or defer (meaning they place second). Players alternate placing one card of THEIR OPPONENT'S units on the board (a map's ""start zones"" are irrelevant for Chaos of Battle). Squad figures must be placed next to other squad figures you placed that turn. You may not place figures on glyphs or adjacent to enemy figures. Initiative in Round 1 is decided normally (after figures and OMs are placed, players D20 for initiative). The order of the formats will be randomly chosen.
