NO SHUTTLES, Prize Info, and SoT Events

NO Shuttles: Uber Information and Credits

The airport hotel is down to 1 shuttle right now. They can’t shuttle people to the downtown hotel or back. 

After discussion with both hotels, we have adjusted the arrangement. If you Uber to the hotel, the hotel will provide $75 credit in the form of vouchers that can either be used at the restaurant (or supposedly the bar). If you don’t, you CAN apply them to your room bill when you checkout to functionally decrease your room rate by that much. 

I know this has been a super messy experience, but this should be a simple and fair solution for everyone. If you have questions, ask in #convention-questions.

SoT Events

I am looking for players to participate in 1 or 2 learn to play and playtest sessions. After the learning game, I will have blind feedback forms that I will ask you to take 5 minutes to fill out and submit anonymously. This is vitally important for the continued development of the game: it’s working as intended right now, but if people don’t like it as intended, then obviously changes can and will be made.

These are capped at 16 players each. You can participate in 1 or both (although give it a few days before you sign-up for both- would prefer 32 different players and perspectives across the 2 L2Ps), and you can participate even if I’ve previously taught you the game. I will also be willing to teach it at other times during the Con, but I specifically want the blind feedback that these larger sessions can provide.

Finally, there will be a tournament on Friday night from 7:45 PM - 11:45 PM. The winner and 3-1s will cash: 1st will receive $25, and all 3-1s will receive $10. 

You will also receive prize wall tickets for participating in both the L2Ps/Playtests and in the Tournament.

ScapeCon VI: Final HeroScape Announcement?

SC Championship Swiss: American Cheese Update: Serpentor Added to List A

We spent a lot of time working on the specifics of this event to create a pretty open meta game. However, I don’t think anyone on the events team had finished reading all the GI Joe figures. This is obviously on us, but we missed Serpentor in the shuffle. 

The Romans with Marcus and Serpentor army is far enough above the curve that, despite our desire to not make post-event announcement updates, he needs to be hit. Romans are still very viable without him, but they will no longer be the clear best army in the format. Therefore, Serpentor has been added to List A to split him up from Marcus.
